I Searched "Graffiti" on Flickr. Here Are Some Highlights of the "Interesting" Results…

Half of the photos are “graffiti atmospherics” where there’s a tag in the background of a couple kissing or something.

There is a lot of really nice work that shows up though, so I went through and pulled out some favorites. Here they are, with commentary.

Cuba Gallery: Australia / Melbourne / city / urban / graffiti lane / street art / photography / grungy
Grime city. I love when street art type stuff gets mixed up with raw scribbles like you see in this scene. It’s great. I especially love the character poking his head out and surviving in the background.

11 spring
Amazingly, I never saw this in person. I’m just never around there when I’m in Manhattan anymore. I’m always in fancyville these days and never make it much further south than, say the 20s or upper teens.

I think I need an intervention.

NEGATIVE APPROACH
This is a great photo. The KEM5 piece is nice, but the whole thing comes together as a photo.

RICK ROSS
The colors and overall wall here are super cool.

Jungle - 30/52
This is one of those atmospherics, but… I love animals and I love graffiti, so I’m sharing it.

Sue me.

(not really. i don’t like courtrooms.)

the green 'psss'
What’s not to love about a freakin’ in-action train bombing shot like this? Nothing. That’s what.

Pencil-Zeus40 at "Kings of Green" Foggia 2010'
This is a killer color combo, has impressive scale and the dude flexed at the top cracks me up. BOOM.

AROE MSK. FROZEN EXPLOSION.
AROE MSK - WE HAVE RISEN...
AROE MSK - Suburban warfare..
AROE MSK Bringing full on destruction to the wall.

reyes
REYES has some nice styles. I wouldn’t say he’s slept-on, but… he’s got some unique touches to his letters that just work for me.

Molotof by Os Gemeos
OS GEMEOS. I thought there’d be more work by them in the “interesting” results. Not sure why they were so underrepresented.

5 Pointz
Yeah, it’s 5 Pointz, but still… c’mon! Look at that!

*Saturday noon.
Love the flow here.

ROIDE MSK HA
Killer style. I love it. The science fiction flavor is where it’s at. In feel it reminds me of VULCAN, if not in actual style.
