Movies #14-18

I’ve had these as a draft post for a couple of weeks… Let’s get this out of the way.

The Departed Lifetime achievement award. It’s okay…

Infernal Affairs (Wu jian dao) But not as good as this. And I wrote a whole article outlining why. I’ll clean it up and get it out the door next week.

Little Miss Sunshine Better than I thought it would be.

King Kong (Widescreen Edition) Worse than I thought it would be? maybe not. Maybe just what I expected. It’s overlong, but the action bits (the bits I actually rented it for) are very good.

V for Vendetta (Two-Disc Special Edition) Way better than I thought it would be. Really, it’s surprisingly good. I’ll have to go through and research why Alan Moore took his name off, but to me it’s a decent adaptation of one of his works (considering there are some I won’t even watch- like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, that’s saying something.)
