I saw Tom Yung Goog (aka “The Protector”) It’s not as good fights wise as Ong Bak. The fights are maybe more impressive since the production values are so much higher, but they lack the same spark that the incredible fights in Ong Bak had. Tony Jaa is still incredible in this film, but maybe less so than in Ong Bak- a film which absolutely blew me away in terms of the stunt work and fights.
La Moustache is a French film I saw at the Brattle. It was good. Very strange, but quite well done.
