Douglas Adams.

The world just lost a very funny man. Douglas Adams, the man behind The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and a slew of other great stuff died suddenly of a heart attack on Friday. He was 49.

I’m really bummed about this. Adams was a very influential guy for me. A lot of what I think about writing comedy or “what is funny” can be traced back to being a 13 year old kid laughing like a maniac reading his stuff.
