What kind of film geek am I that I didn’t know he was still kicking? The kind of film geek who’s not partial to his work*, that’s what kind.
I loved the Seventh Seal, however, and I watched it recently, so I’m sadder about his passing that I would have been a few weeks ago.
I love this quote from the following article:

*he was obviously a genius. I just didn’t care for his films. Although I’ve been tempted to revisit them in my old age, just to see if I’ve grown into them.

I know that TCM is replaying a Dick Cavett interview with Bergman at some point in the next couple of days & I think they are running some of his movies.
