Literally, in my case. I’m splitting my time between the Isobar home base in Watertown and the Hancock building so for the first time in many years I’m spending at least some of my days in a actual skyscraper. Cube walls mean I don’t see much, in terms of views, but when I do see them they’re impressive.
What’s also impressive is actually being downtown again. After a couple of years working out of the house, a year in Brookline (which was great,) three and a half in Norwood and another six months in Watertown it’s nice to actually spend my days surrounded by The City. My whole life, up until 2004, had been centered around Boston proper between the Hospital area and the Financial District. For the past 6 years it’s been the opposite.
For what it’s worth, I like this better (although the important part of the equation is still the job itself and that will always win out over location.)
Anyway, this says SKY:
I get there. Sometimes it takes me longer than others to get to the explaining….
