Which is really how it ought to be. Discovery’s last American race and it’s George that rides them off into the sunset as winners.
As a note, it’s going to be really strange watching him ride for a German team next year (and don’t even get me started on the pink kit thing…) I only watched a couple of stages of the Missouri race, but it definitely looked fun from my seat.

American George Hincapie made Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team’s last American ride a victorious one as he held onto a one-minute, 40-second advantage in the General Classification over Coloradoan and countryman Will Frischkorn to win the inaugural six-day, 562-mile Tour of Missouri professional cycling race.
While I’m here- congrats to Will Frischkorn and Slipstream who have had a really solid couple of weeks. They’re definitely looking ready to take over as the “American Team” next year (and hopefully Will will continue to blog about the experience.)
On the other side of the pond, my sentimental favorite for the Vuelta is holding steady. I really felt bad for Denis Menchov during the Tour, so I’m really pulling for him to win the race.
