What a sad day. The Basso deal really screwed them, but even still you’d think they could find a sponsor. SlipStream is the big winner now, obviously. Maybe they can grab Leipheimer? That would be a coup and a half. They’ve got a good team already, with a strong GC man they’d be a Tour contender right off the bat.
It’s kind of sad to see George finishing his career with a German team, but it’s good to see him picked up so quickly. Let’s hope there’s a pink jersey atop the top step at Paris Roubaix next year 🙂
