I’ve been watching the Tour de Georgia on their awesome Tour Tracker and I just saw big George Hincapie back in the saddle again for the first time since his gutsy ride in the Tour of California- turning himself inside out riding tempo for Levi on a broken wrist.
Very cool lunch break for me. I just got to see George, Dave Zabriskie, Levi Leipheimer, Tom Danielson all set off in the TT today within about two minutes of each other.
Yesterday’s stage was bonkers, by the way. It blew up the GC in a big way. letting a breakaway get 30 minutes up the road is one thing in a grand tour. In a week long race? That’s the end of the race right there.
