Seven Swords: I’ve had this film for a while and I’ve wanted to watch it for a lot longer than than. Finally I found the time to sit down and watch Tsui Hark’s latest epic. It was worth the wait.
I’d like to watch it again, to get my head around it a little more, but Seven Swords worked for me on a lot of levels. I was especially pleased with the fights. I know, I know, there’s a lot more to this film than the fights… BUT the fights were SO MUCH FUN here I have to mention them. The finale was a perfect blend of the real and the fantastic and there are several other great scenes spread throughout the film.
More when I watch it again.
