Sin City: Better than I had any right to expect it would be given the circumstances. Thankfully, they were so true to Miller’s brilliant vision that even Tarantino’s meddling couldn’t sink the film (although he definitely tried…) I’m not sure that I can yet properly appreciate it as a film since I’m at present still stunned by the faithfulness to the original source material. I knew that they were going to be extremely faithful based on everything I’d read leading up (which wasn’t all that much really) but this was beyond all expectations. It was truly the comics brought to life.
