Young and Dangerous: This film launched something like four sequels, a prequel, and a spinoff film (Portland Street Blues.) I can see why. Imperfect, uneven and probably too artistic for its own good, this film STILL has an undeniable charm about it. It’s classic Triad stuff passed through a Wong Kar Wai filter. The result is a bloody, blurry, mess of a film carried along to success by a charismatic cast and undeniable heart.
