Jiang Hu – The Triad Zone: Uneven. The good bits, Anthony Wong as General Kwan and Eric Tsang’s cameo, for example, are great. The bad bits fall pretty flat.
Blow-Up: What a great film. I used to say that Sade was one millimeter away from being ugly she had such extreme features, this movie was one artsy trick away from being unwatchable. Ponderously paced, obscure and light on actual “story;” the “art” of this film more than makes up for any possible shortcomings. A real art house classic.
