My Boston Marathon Photos (From the Beautiful Part of the Weekend) Up on Flickr

I really love the Boston Marathon. I’m not sure how much everyone out there in the internets knows that, but I do. I’ve watched the race in person a billion times (more than 30) and I look forward to it every year. Like a lot of Bostonians I felt like the attack on the event and on the city was personal. Thankfully, because of the work of local and federal law enforcement and the incredible cooperation (everything we did yesterday was voluntary) and vigilance of the residents of Watertown, Boston, Newton, Brookline and Cambridge we’ve got one suspect dead and another in custody.

As I try to do every year, I took a bunch of photos of the race as I cheered on the runners on Heartbreak Hill. I also ran the BAA 5k the day before. I posted them to Flickr. Here are a few noteworthy examples:

As the president said, I’ll be back next year, cheering louder than ever.
