On Musical Discovery

This is what musical discovery looks like for me in 2012.

I listened to le mouv’, a radio station from Paris, on my Logitech Squeezebox on Sunday night and ended up buying two albums based on songs I heard. One was Sallie Ford & the Sound Outside (from Portland) and the other was The Rapture (from NYC)

It’s roundabout, but it works.

Also, I should admit that I do a lot of traditional channels, too. All Songs Considered, World Cafe, etc. I do love me some random discovery, however. Thank you internet. And France.
