Movies #31- Road to Perdition

Road to Perdition (Widescreen Edition)

I felt like I’d already seen this film and, in some ways, it’s actually true. Looking at the “references” list at the IMDB we get this:

Of that list, I’ve only not seen the bolded films. Everything else I’ve seen and several films on the above list are personal favorites. Someone buy me a medal!

Anyway, even more than that, this film is based on a graphic novel, which in turn was based on the greatest comic series of all time, the seminal manga series Lone Wolf and Cub, by Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima. I’m a complete nerd for Lone Wolf and Cub.

So… suffice it to say I wasn’t overly impressed with this film. It’s okay and if I hadn’t seen a couple dozen films that feed it I might have liked it a little more.

I’ve got nothing else to say on this one.
