Movies #26 – The Bourne Identity

The Bourne Identity (Widescreen Extended Edition) This is a movie that was almost exactly as good as I thought it would be. I expected it to be pretty good, and it was. Contrary to popular opinion I’m actually quite fond of the American style action film when it’s done well and this one certainly fits that description. Well acted, paced like a whip crack and extremely well executed, this amnesiac spy tale (do I really need to give any more of the plot than that?) basically kicks all kinds of ass.

One thing that I just learned is the book that this film was based on inspired the excellent bandes dessinées XIII. I love when good things multiply like that.
