Brother’s Keeper. A gripping documentary from the same guys behind another gripping documentary, Paradise Lost. (Joe Berlinger is also behind one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen- Blair Witch 2: Book of Shit. But who’s counting?) This film, which features a story so strange in detail it defies easy description, is exactly the sort of film that sells people on the power of the documentary format. It’s everything a good story strives to be and it’s got the added luster of “truth.”
