Insomnia. This is a freakin’ remake! I’m so embarrassed. I hate seeing the American remake before I’ve earned my film geek stripes by seeing the original. That aside, I enjoyed this version. With the “Pacino can’t sleep” gimmick it’s a perfect Christopher Nolan vehicle and he does well with it- crafting a nice, solid little thriller. The scenery is enough to make this a worthwhile rental, by the way. Alaska sure is purty.
